Hey there,

I know summer is not over yet but I already did my research about the fall and winter jewelry trends for 2010. Here is what I’ve found:

Fall and winter jewelry is trending towards bold, asymmetrical designs with lots of texture, and in colors that are often drawn from nature. Woods with visible grains are being used to make showy beads, and “striped” stones (like agate) are popular for adding visual texture. Overall, components may be mixed, but color and texture are both key elements in current designs.

All-metal jewelry is hot, too, with chunky, often hammered components. You’ll find some nice examples in white metals, but yellows occupy the number one slot, and are popular in shades of rose to deep gold.

Necklace Trends

Layered necklaces haven’t disappeared, but styles are more compact than we’ve seen in recent seasons. When you surf the Internet, you’ll still see pics of celebrities wearing many necklaces, and they’re often super heavy, chunky designs. Most of us in the real world will opt for a more subdued look, for practical reasons (cost, uncomfortable weight) and because we aren’t providing billboard space for designers. But celebrities are usually on the cutting edge of style — jewelry they’re wearing today may be on retail racks in coming seasons.

Bracelet and Bangle Trends

Bracelet, bangle and cuff styles are always varied, and that’s good news for the longevity of most wrist jewelry we buy. Wooden bangles and bangles made with resins remain popular, and many are embellished with beads, metals and other components. Anthropologie’s Belsay Bangle, illustrated to the left, is an example of the trend towards richly colored bracelets set with metals and faux gems in multiple shapes and sizes.

Earring Trends

Chandelier earrings are a good look for dressy events, and you’ll find that delicate designs (like these Willowy Chandeliers from Anthropologie) boost your style without dragging your earlobes to the ground. There probably aren’t many earrings in your jewelry box that you’ll feel uncomfortable wearing this year. Styles are pretty consistent, unless you’re planning to slip on a pair of fuzzy-dice pendants leftover from some retro-look season.

One of the most sexually-attractive Hollywood stars Carmen Electra created her own list of clothes every sexy woman should have in her closet. Pay attention to number 7

1. Black dress

Yeah, I am talking about a classic black dress from Coco Channel. No matter the event or fashion trends, you should have this dress in your closet. It will be your helping hand, a kind of dress that will emphasize your strong sides. Also, you can use a number of accessories to make it look different.

2. Jeans

It can sound ridiculous, but get a classic pair of Levi’s, or whatever your favorite brand. Be sure they fit you perfectly and thus, you will always look amazing in a nick of time.

3. Suit

I am talking about a classic black suit that can be worn everywhere and paired with any accessories. This suit should have no details and no bright spots, simplicity is the key feature.

4. It-bag

While talking about IT-bags I mean such bags as: Channel, Birkin, Coach and etc. Those bags have nothing in common with trends and fashion – they are timeless and classic, they look elegant and stylish but not modern and fresh. You should definitely have such a bag in your wardrobe.

5. Skirt

Think of two staple skirts, one short and one long. Think classic and conservative. Both skirts shouldn’t be too, I mean too long or too short.

6. Sweater set

Buy a couple of ordinary and completely simple sweaters, they should be one-colored in order you to be ready to pair them with any clothes you like.

7. Pearls

A string of pearls is the most essential part of any wardrobe. You can pair this string with any ensemble and always look elegant.
